In Salmon, Lake Trout, Steelhead
& Walleye Divisions for each species:

The decision of the Tournament officials will be final in the event of a
dispute or unsportsmanlike-like conduct.
In case of ties, the first fish weigh-in will be declared the
winner. 11.
Each contestant agrees to abide by the official rules and State
fishing regulations upon signing entry form; officials may request
entrants to show proof of valid Michigan fishing license; any failure to
observe any rule will result in disqualification.
(Any and all disqualification decisions will be made on a
case-by-case basis by Tournament Officials.) 12.
All fish must be weighed-in and entered in the contest at the official
weigh-in station at the City Boat Harbor.
All qualifying fish will be
fin clipped. NO EXCEPTIONS! 13.
All protests must be submitted on an Official Protest Form.
Forms are available at the Weigh-in Station.
A cash deposit of $50.00 must accompany each protest.
Protests will be accepted no later than noon the following day of
each tournament day. If the
protest is upheld, the deposit will be refunded.
If not upheld, the deposit will become property of the Michigan
Brown Trout Festival. All
protests will be handled by a “protest committee” of at least three
officials. 14.
At the discretion of the tournament director, observers may be placed on
board any boat at any time during the 9 days of fishing.
