- $200.00 boat entry fee
for 2 – Day Walleye Extravaganza only. Tournament will take place the first two days of the
2008 Michigan Brown Trout Festival, running from 7:00 am until 3:00 pm
each day. Boat
inspections to take place no later than 6:45 am each day, in
preparation for the shotgun start at 7:00 am each day.
All boats will display tournament ribbon after inspection each
day. Also after
inspection, boats must report to Tournament Control.
- All individual
participants MUST be
registered in the general Michigan Brown Trout tournament.
All general rules will be enforced (See
General rule 11). Participants
will qualify for prizes in general tournament.
- All boats must be
inside a line determined by Tournament Officials by 3:00 pm each day.
Weigh in will begin at 3:00 pm each day, first come, first
serve basis. All fish
must be transported by waterborne boat to the official Weigh Station
at the harbor. No
fish transported by vehicle will be accepted.
“Captain’s Catch” in effect.
The 5 heaviest of six fish weighed (picked by the Captain of
each boat) will be tallied for prizes.
All walleye must be a minimum of 20” in length.
- Rod limit – Four (4)
rods per boat – as many fishermen/women as desired.
- Registrations taken up
to 4:30 pm, Friday, July 18th. Captain’s meeting will
take place at 5:30 pm at the Earth Tech Big Tent. Each boat must have Captain or representative at the
Captain’s Meeting. Each
boat captain will receive a separate Walleye Tournament registration
card. This card MUST be
presented at weigh-in each day.
- Total weight for both
days will determine winners. Prize
payouts – based on 30 boat registrations (example: $6,000.00) will be as follows:
1st
place - 50% of purse ($3,000)
2nd place - 25% of purse ($1,500)
3rd place - 12% of purse ($
720)
4th place - 8% of purse ($ 480)
5th place - 5% of purse ($ 300)
